Do you (or your child) suffer from any of the below:

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Multiple food sensitivities
  • Chronic diarrhea
  • Chronic constipation
  • Asthma
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Headaches, brain fog, memory loss and excessive fatigue
  • Yeast overgrowth (candida)
  • Bloating
  • Poor immune system

If so, there is a chance you may be suffering from leaky gut syndrome.

What is Leaky Gut Syndrome?

The term Leaky Gut Syndrome is the term used by non-medicos to describe the condition that is formally classified as “Hyperpermeable Intestines”.

It’s an evocative term that tells it like it is. Essentially, the intestinal lining has been damaged through the development of abnormal micro flora which makes it more porous and results in larger than normal holes developing.  What used to effectively trap undigested food molecules and other “bad stuff” like toxins, yeast and other types of waste, is now able to flow directly into the bloodstream.

How our broths help you

One of the most important steps you can take to rebuild and repair the walls of the intestine is to consume meat and fish stock. Why? These stocks contain building blocks that help the cells of the gut lining grow whilst simultaneously acting as an anti-inflammatory for sensitive, affected areas of the gut. This is how broths aid digestion and why they have been used as healing folk remedies for centuries. We believe meat stock should be consumed as often as possible, as a meal alone (with sauerkraut) or as an accompaniment to another meal.

Commercially available soup stock or bouillon cubes should be avoided like the plague. They are filled with highly processed ingredients and lack the key ingredients we need for repair.

Our restorative meat broths are certified organic, slow cooked and rich in the healing substances (gelatinous soft tissues, fat & marrow) you need to help heal and repair the gut.

Our offering

We’ve been where you are now and know it’s hard to get started.  Not only do you have to process this new found wisdom that animal fats are healing you also have to get the chickens feet bubbling away on the stovetop in order to drink their gelatinous goodness.

We’re taking the pressure off you and your quest for gut health.  We’re doing the cooking and fermenting and delivering to your door!

We offer 1, 2 or 3 day packages that include 6 * 500mL of broth (or soup including veges and meat). We also have sauerkraut that can be added to your soup to improve digestion by stimulating stomach acid production.

GAPS book

Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAP Syndrome or GAPS) is a condition which establishes a connection between the functions of the digestive system and the brain. This term was created by Dr Natasha Campbell McBride, MD, MMedSci (neurology), MMedSci (human nutrition) in 2004 after working with hundreds of children and adults with neurological and psychiatric conditions, such as autistic spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD, ADD), schizophrenia, dyslexia, dyspraxia, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, bi-polar disorder and other neuro-psychological and psychiatric problems.

Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride is a medical doctor with two postgraduate degrees:
Master of Medical Sciences in Neurology and Master of Medical Sciences in Human Nutrition.

She graduated as a medical doctor in Russia. After practising for five years as a Neurologist and three years as a Neurosurgeon she started a family and moved to the UK, where she got her second postgraduate degree in Human Nutrition.

She is well known for developing a concept of GAPS (Gut And Psychology Syndrome), which she described in her book Gut And Psychology Syndrome - Natural Treatment for Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Depression and Schizophrenia, now in its second edition. Thousands of people around the world follow the highly successful GAPS Nutritional Protocol to help themselves and their families.

In her clinic Dr Campbell-McBride works as a nutritional consultant with many patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, arrhythmia, stroke and other complications of atherosclerosis. She has become acutely aware of the existing confusion about nutrition and these conditions, which spurred an intensive study into this subject.
